A Hundred Thousand Welcomes to one of the largest events of the year in Halton Hills. Established in 1975, the Georgetown Highland Games is held every 2nd Saturday in June at the Georgetown Fair Grounds. Come be a “Scot for a Day” & enjoy the Massed Pipes & Drums with sounds that stir the heart & soul; “Amazing Grace” & “Scotland the Brave” at 1 pm & 5 pm….more

Our own, born and raised and this year’s “Highland Laddie”
MacKenzie Entwistle, # 58 for the Chicago Blackhawks
A true champion, Mackenzie started his hockey journey playing minor hockey in Georgetown. Mackenzie’s junior career saw him play for the Toronto Marlboros, and then on to win the OHL Championship twice with the Hamilton Bulldogs and Guelph Storm. Other accolades include playing lacrosse with the Halton Hills Bulldogs and a National Championship with Team Ontario.
Representing Canada 4 times, including the World Junior Team in 2019, Mackenzie turned pro in 2017, drafted by the Arizona Coyotes and has played for the Chicago Blackhawks since 2019. As proud as we are of our Scottish Heritage, we are proud and welcome MacKenzie Entwistle
